Founded in 2019, PGC1-Coaching provides expert bespoke training plans for runners from coaches with a deep understanding of the science and art behind endurance running. Our coaches are all UKA Qualified, hold degree qualifications within the Sport and Exercise Science field and are accomplished athletes in their own right. This gives them a unique perspective on how to help you improve your running, stay accountable and get the most out of yourself.

As a collective, PGC1-Coaching comprises of athletes trying to run their first marathon all the way up to qualifying for the Commonwealth games. The principles behind the training at PGC1 fall down to these key factors: being consistent with what you do, structuring your training around your life to give you the best chance to achieve your goals and most importantly, enjoying the process! 


PGC1-Coaching provides monthly training plans for runners who want to help improve their performance, provide more structure to their running or complete a goal they have always wanted to achieve. Our coaches build bespoke schedules to your specifications and work with you to develop the best plan for you.

We also offer 1-1 coaching services, group interval training and nutritional support for athletes of any level looking to improve their performance and health.

PGC1-Coaching was founded in 2019 by Head Coach Joshua Schofield. Since its inception, PGC1-Coaching has delivered training plans for beginners to international-level athletes in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Australia! 

All of our coaches at PGC1 are fully qualified coaches with their National Governing Body, hold a Degree Qualification in Sport and Exercise Science or equivalent and are ready to help you make the next step in your running journey.
