A bit about me
My passion for coaching began in the gym, but it truly evolved during my time working in a performance sport injury rehab clinic, where I supported athletes from a range of disciplines — including golf — through their recovery. That experience inspired me to combine my knowledge of rehabilitation with my own background in running to help runners strike the right balance between strength and endurance, enabling them to become the strongest version of themselves. For the past five years, I’ve been coaching athletes at the national level, guiding them to achieve their goals across events from 800m to the Marathon, on the track, road, and cross-country circuit.
My running journey began at age 11, when I took part in the South Yorkshire Schools Cross Country Championships. At the time, I needed a little persuasion — I was a dedicated swimmer back then — but by 13, I had joined Doncaster AC and quickly fell in love with the sport. From that moment, I was driven to keep improving, always eager to learn and challenge myself. Running has taken me through many stages, from university to training with the Leeds Talent Hub to now training in Cardiff with a dedicated group of high performance athletes, and the journey has been full of both highs and challenges. Among the highlights are winning the England bronze medal over 1500m in 2023 and stepping onto the start line at my first Indoor and Outdoor British Championships over the same distance in 2024.
Coaching philosophy
As a dedicated female running coach, I believe every woman deserves a training plan that feels personal, adaptable, and empowering. My philosophy is shaped by both my own journey as an athlete and my professional experience in a high-performance gym environment. Through PGC1-Coaching, I’ve had the privilege of supporting runners at every stage — from beginners taking their first strides to seasoned athletes chasing new personal bests.
I create structured, personalised programmes designed to enhance fitness, confidence, and performance, while keeping training enjoyable and sustainable. Alongside running, I draw on my background in strength and conditioning to help athletes build resilience, reduce injury risk, and develop the strength needed to perform at their best. This integrated approach ensures every plan is well-rounded — with running at its core and strength work supporting lasting progress.
For me, coaching goes beyond sets, reps, and mileage. It’s about creating a supportive, inclusive environment where women can feel a sense of belonging, build self-belief, and grow in confidence. I work collaboratively with each athlete, using open communication and honest feedback to ensure your training feels truly your own.
There are no one-size-fits-all plans here — every programme is tailored to your needs, goals, and lifestyle. My aim is to help you discover what your body is capable of, and to make fitness a rewarding, empowering part of your life.
