About me

My coaching journey started in 2022, since then I have coached and helped athletes compete at a national level to achieve their goals and ambitions, in a variety of distances from the 800m-10,000m on the track, 1 mile – Marathon on the road and Cross Country.

My own running journey started in 2007 as a bottom year U13. I was competing for my local club at National Young Athletes Leagues and local cross-country races. Like many others I was pursuing other sports during this time, mainly football. Ultimately it took me a couple years to realise my passion and love for running after finishing 11th at National XC and competing for national titles. My running took me to St Mary’s University, during this time my eyes were opened to the world of elite level sport, being surrounded by Olympians, world championship and the best middle and long distance athletes and coaches in the UK. I’ve been fortunate enough that my running has taken me over to USA on a Sports scholarship to allow me to complete in the NCAA which was an unforgettable experience.

I’m still trying to compete at the highest level of the sport and balance this alongside my coaching which is something I am extremely passionate about. Seeing and helping others achieving their goals fills me with an enormous amount of pride.

My passion and love outside of running are my little dog (Scottie) and two rabbits (Scooby and Biscuit). So naturally my life revolves around them. Secondly, I’m very passionate about coffee, a self-proclaimed coffee snob.

Coaching philosophy

Many of my training principles have come from my own personal experiences as an athlete. Coaching for me is keeping the athletes needs at the centre of everything. I want my athletes to enjoy their running, whilst working around their everyday life. I understand the pressures of working full-time and trying to fit in training around work, this is why my training plans are individualised and adapted to suit the everyday needs of my athlete’s. I value a clear and strong communication between athlete and coach to build that personal rapport.
